Hello, my father use atlantis last version in French (registered) with windows XP and by mistake he uninstall it yesterday, as he dont know anything in computer I did the reinstallation, but I have one problem with spell checker and one question.
PROBLEM:
I have installed the Dutch spellchecker but this is not working. If I try to test it by typing some dutch words with text selected on this langage, or even set by default Atlantis dont propose anything. Page is confirmed "dutch" (below) but when doing a right click on any wrong word proposition is empty.
I have tried to install another additionnal langage (german) and test it, and this is ok.
I have tried to select other languages, french, english, this is ok.
I have tried to uninstall dutch dictionnary and resintall it, NOT ok. (downloaded a second time to be sure)
I have tried to uninstall atlantis+dutch dictionnary and resintall it, NOT ok.
In the menus the dictionnary is well visible and activated.
They use french, english and dutch languages.
(I dont know Atlantis very well as it is my brother who was in charge of this but he is not available).
QUESTION:
As already said my parents are old (72 and yes they use Atlantis) and dont know anything but use Atlantis since now some years.
To facilitate their life I have recently created 2 sessions "user" with XP (so one user per person). It seems that Atlantis dont allow this type of config (?).
Question is does Atlantis allow to be installed on one computer with 2 users sessions, and create a shortcut ? (seems no)
Or do they will be obliged to use only my father one to use atlantis ? (As they dont use it often I will not buy 2 version of Atlantis).
Last question will Atlantis project to launch upgrade of the french version ?

If your parents write texts in English, I assume that they would not be put off by an English interface. So I suggest they would be better off using the current English version of Atlantis which is more recent and has more features than the French one. The direct download link for the setup file is http://www.atlantiswordprocessor.com/do ... is16en.exe . But please uninstall any other version of Atlantis before running this setup. Also, reinstall the Dutch spellchecker only after installing the English version.
As far as the French version is concerned, we are working on it, but we cannot give you any definite date for its update.
By default, Atlantis is installed for all users under Windows. But you can create and save personal settings for each separate user. Clicking "Tools | Personal Settings..." in Atlantis will allow you to create individual shortcuts on the Windows Desktop. You could create shortcuts named "Dad's Atlantis" and "Mum's Atlantis", each with appropriate settings.

Thank you for all reply about version and users in windows (I assume that the problem I had was because I had created windows users after Atlantis was installed, As I have reinstalled now I will wheck).
Concerning the spell checker, sorry but no my parents dont write in english by default. We are in Belgium so their first langage is French, then Ducht and finally english. So the french version is appropriate (my brother had choose Antlantis for one of this reason).

What can be suggested to resolve the spellchekcing problem ?
To remind briefly: they have a Desktop computer Dell recent.
-Installation of dictionnary is ok
-setting in altlantis menu ok (dictionnary is installed and appli "see" the file)
-no error message.
-when wrting any text and set ducht language for language spellchek underlinge words in red but when we right click on a word the fisrt part is empty, no suggestions available.
-if we write any others words in others language (french english german), auto suggestion are ok in different langage.
Ho yes one important thing is, I have installed Atlantis today (evaluation version in french), then installed the dutch spellchecker (also downloaded today) on my laptop and... it doesn't work neither

It is a little bit like this dutch file is empty???
