Make the blank area of the main bar on top (File, Edit, etc) sensitive to double-clicking to unfold the new toolbar when not in autohide mode. So you double-click on a blank area of the toolbar and this will unfold the new toolbar. Double-click again and the new tool bar folds up again. If this is not feasible or possible, consider adding a button on the right side of bar (or next to Help) that will unfold and fold the new toolbar. This way we aren't forced to use autohide as that isn't always the best option. Kind of like Windows exporer and the MS Office ribbon has a dropdown arrow. It's all about fewer steps and less navigation where it comes to vital/essential ui elements like hiding or showing the toolbar. Right now, you have to navigate to View, then Toolbars, all the while positioning the mouse cursor and waiting for things to unfold. How is this productive? It isn't. Doubleclick menu bar, UI appears. Easy, fast.
