Can I turn off hyperlinks?

Post by Mandolina »

Hello. I sell on Ebay, and use several email accounts, and in the past I have often copied and pasted email addresses into Atlantis so that I could then choose which email program to use, rather than having the default email program open every time I click on an email address.

Now with the new html-supported Atlantis, I'm having the same problem and find myself cursing and swearing and having to start over with multiple email addresses. I have tried Ctrl-Q and I've tried Ctrl-space bar but I still get the hyperlink attached to the email addresses. What I want is to save a group of email addresses that are NOT going to jump ANYWHERE when I click on them to maneuver them into the places I want them to go. Is there any way to neutralize that within Atlantis?

Perhaps I'll have to use Notepad???

If you save your document as a plain text file (*.TXT), hyperlinks are lost.
Also you could use the "Edit | Paste As Environment" command to paste the clipboard contents as a plain text (without formatting and hyperlinks).
You could also use the "Tools | AutoCorrect Options..." dialog to disable the "Format Internet addresses with hyperlinks" option.

:D Thanks as always for the very prompt reply! (Imagine Microsoft being this user-friendly!)

I will try all the suggested options.
