Another example of the queer behavior of software

Post by 357mag »

If you look at my attachment you can see that the spacing between the entries is not the same. The spacing between Century Link and Shred Academy is more.

I made this document in Atlantis. I have tried selecting everything and changing between double-spacing and single-spacing etc. I have hit Backspace and Enter just to make sure that I did not make any extra space when I was typing.

There is no change.

Really a strange thing.

Please, try this:

1. Select all the target paragraph lines in the document window.
2. Click “Format | Paragraph…”
3. In the “Paragraph Format” dialog, specify appropriate values for “Spacing Before” and “Spacing After”, and uncheck “Don’t add space between paragraphs of the same style”.
4. OK out of the “Paragraph Format” dialog.

HTH.
Cheers,

I don't know what spacing before or spacing after means. Spacing before what? After what?

But what worked is I CHECKED the box. Not unchecking.

And that solved the spacing discrepancy.
