encrypted files autosave

Post by wood.22mark »

Hi. I looked in the FAQ, but didn't find this. Question: when working with an encrypted file (.cod format), when my file autosaves, does it save in clear? In other words, am I generating a copies of my file that are not encrypted?

The Atlantis encrypted documents are securely protected in RAM when you edit them. The fragments that you copy to the Windows clipboard are also kept “out of bounds”. Only you and Atlantis have access to these encrypted fragments. Whenever the encrypted documents are saved to media (hard disk, USB key, etc.), they are saved as encrypted files. Nothing is saved in clear unless you choose to do it yourself.
