My malware program deleted Atlantis without giving me the option to keep it. I just bought this program based on CJeasyaspie's recommendation for designing a Kindle book.
How do I get Atlantis to download & STAY on my desktop
THANKS everyone
Hi,
Which malware program?
Has this malware program any “white list” or “exclusion list”? If so, try including Atlantis Word Processor in such a list.
Are you sure that Atlantis was “deleted” or was it only the corresponding Desktop shortcut? Please, run Windows Explorer, and have a look at “C:\Program Files”. Does it include any “Atlantis” subfolder? If so, try running “Atlantis.exe” directly.
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert

Hi Robert, It's called Trend Titanium Backup. I don't know what an exclusion list is, sorry. But I did run windows explorer & it has a subfolder but no "atlantis.exe" in it. Thanks for your suggestions

Not to belabor this issue ... but I find it puzzling.
Did you ever actually use the Atlantis program before it disappeared? Or did the icon just disappear after you had used the program? (I realize that you could not find Atlantis.exe in the Atlantis folder. And I have to wonder, too, if any files were in the Atlantis folder.)
Sometimes what people have on their desktop is just an installation file. Honestly, I have used Atlantis for so long that I do not remember the installation procedure for the first time that you install the program.
I am not sure if Windows Explorer has a default to hide *.exe files to prevent accidental deletion or tinkering. I seem to remember a time, long ago, when Windows had a default that hid certain files, like system and (maybe) executable files. However, I do not know why your Atlantis.exe would suddenly have appeared. I use a different file manager (Q-Dir), and I keep my options set so that I can see all the files.
Anyway, I think that you will find that Atlantis is great for ebook creation.
