I know this has been brought up before but I would really like to be able to email from Atlantis without it being an attachment, where Atlantis either opens the default mail program or it is sent straight from Atlantis itself. Many very basic word processors are able to do this, again yeah write is one of them. What do you other Atlantis users think?

Since you ask, I very much prefer sending as an attachment. Sending an RTF file as an attachment makes it easier for the receiver to save the file separately, rather than having the document embedded in the email., This is especially useful when one remembers that not everybody has their email client set to display RTF. I don't, nor most of the other people who use non-M$ email clients, like Pegasus, The Bat!, Eudora, etc. If I receive an RTF email, it would display with a whole lot of rubbish, since my Pegasus is set to display only plain-text. Whereas, if I receive an RTF attachment, I can just save it separately, then read it at my leisure, offline in Atlantis. That is the main reason I send as attachments. A friend who can't grasp PGP has Ocean Mind, so around 98% of our email correspondence is by COD attachments, and send such a file directly would surely make the security pointless.Prince wrote: That is a very good point!

That's not true. If most people behaved thus, there would be many fewer virus infections. Still the problem is easily circumvented by simply sending an email notifying the recipient that an RTF attachmnt is on the way.fbailey wrote: Most people wont open mail containing attachments because of virus attacts.
