'Beginning' in MOBI e-Book is in middle of chapter

Post by buckwem »

I created ePub and MOBI e-books using the save as mechanism. Everything is fine except when I open the book the first time using a Kindle or go to 'Beginning' on the Kindle it goes to the middle of a section. How do I mark the 'Beginning' within a book? Or what determines the beginning?

Please, have a look at Converting to Kindle in the Atlantis online help:
When a Kindle eBook is created through Atlantis, the first chapter of the eBook is automatically marked as its "Beginning". And the "Go to... > Beginning" command of the Kindle will bring you to the first chapter of the eBook.
Now, if you’re not happy with the location Atlantis automatically chose as the beginning of your eBook, you need to bookmark a different location in your source document as its "beginning". For this, click the target location within the source document, then press the “Shift+Alt+B” hot key, type "start" (without quotes), and click the "OK" button:

Save your source document as eBook.
