If there are semicolons ( ; ) in the file name, Atlantis Word treats the file as a list of several files, that is every part between semicolons is treated as a separate file. The result is an error message and the file remain unopened.
However AFAIK under Windows file name convention semicolon is allowed symbol in filename. Thus I'd consider Atlantis Word's such behavior to be a bug.

Hi,
Even though your documents with semi-colons cannot be reloaded automatically when you launch Atlantis, they can still be opened in many different ways, through:
1. The History attached to the “Open Document” toolbar button,
2. the “Open Document” toolbar button,
3. the “Ctrl+O” dialog,
4. the “File | Open…” main menu command,
5. drag & drop from your file manager to Atlantis,
6. The “Open” or “Open With” command in the right-click context menu of your file manager,
7. The “Send To” command in the right-click context menu of your file manager, if you have placed a shortcut to Atlantis in your Windows “Send To” folder.
Note. The Windows “Send To” folder can be reached if you type “Windows key+R”, then enter “shell:sendto” as the command-line to execute, and hit “Enter”.
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert
