Windows 8 & Cannot Initialize Printer error

Greetings,

I just recently installed Atlantis 1.6.5.10 on a new PC with Windows 8 Pro. I keep getting the “Cannot Initialize Printer” error.

I’ve performed both the
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Atlantis\Atlantis.exe" -dls -dss
and the
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Atlantis\Atlantis.exe" -dls
run commands a number of times, but still get the same printer error.

I’ve also tried changing Compatibility Mode and Run as Administrator, but it still doesn’t print.

The printer functions as it should with everything but Atlantis. Any suggestions?

I cannot reproduce this error under Windows 8.

Does Atlantis display the "Print" dialog when you choose the "File | Print..." menu command of Atlantis?

Thanks for your quick response.

I’ve discovered that it just about has to be a printer driver issue. After finally deleting everything associated with the driver (it’s a w7 driver; w8 isn’t available) and reinstalling, it started printing (after a few bumps).
