Given that there are some excellent freeware thesauri available, such as the two on this page, http://www.sover.net/~whoi/Text2.html perhaps an acceptable alternative would be for Atlantis to offer integration with an external thesaurus of one's choosing. That would give each user more freedom, for example, I have Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus installed, and would rather use that than any built-in thesaurus, which would almost certainly be less comprehensive.
It seems to me that offering the option of integrating an external add-on would involve less bloat, and less bloat is why we all love Atlantis in the first place, no?1953 wrote:
Will there be a Thesaurus added to Atlantis in the future ???
Regrettably there are no standard interfaces that could be used for communicating with different thesauruses. Probably the simplest way is to use thesauruses that work through the Windows clipboard.

Re: Thesaurus
I would also like to see a thesaurus added. I'd like to see a full dictionary added as well. There is a very good, free office suite called Easy Office, and the word processor in it (Easy Word) has a full dictionary and a spellcheck dictionary. The full dictionary is fairly comprehensive. It gives definitions to highlighted words. I wouldl ike to see a dictionary like that one added to Atlantis. Like Max, the dictionary I currently use is Merriam Webster, which I love, but I still think it would be awesome to have something in Atlantis like that. I'm sure they will get around to the thesaurus, but it may take them a bit longer to consider a full dictionary.
Re: Thesaurus
I rather like the solution to the Thesaurus making for a bulky program that NoteTab Pro has come up with. In this case he has software that detects the presence of the WordWeb dll and then it will display the WordWeb dialog box when you invoke the Thesaurus from NoteTab's menu and toolbar. It's also invoked from F12 on the defined word. More information about WordWeb can be found at http://www.wordweb.co.uk/
