All text underlined

Post by Frank Kolwicz »

I want to use the auto spellcheck for my language, but all of the text is underlined with the zigzag lines, not just misspelled words. The only choice I found in a search is to turn off the language choice (none).

How to I use spellcheck so it works properly.

Win XP; Atlantis 1.6.5.8

Hi Frank,
Click “Tools | Options…”, and go to the “Spellcheck” tab in the “Options” dialog.
Click “Spellcheckers & Dictionaries…”
Is your language listed in the “Spellcheckers & Dictionaries” box?

If it isn’t, you need to (re)install the corresponding spellchecker as available from http://www.atlantiswordprocessor.com/en/downloads.htm.

If your language is listed in the “Spellcheckers & Dictionaries” box, and your texts are not really spellchecked by Atlantis (hence the zigzag underlines), use Windows Explorer to go to your “My documents\Atlantis\Spellcheck” folder.

Is your language listed in this folder? If it isn’t, use Windows Explorer to go to “C:\Program Files\Atlantis\Spellcheck”.

Is your language listed in that folder? If it is, move all files within “C:\Program Files\Atlantis\Spellcheck” to your “My documents\Atlantis\Spellcheck” folder.

Close and restart Atlantis.

The spellchecker should work as expected.
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert

Thanks, that was a great response.

It turns out that there was no dictionary/spell checker installed when I upgraded. I may have mistakenly unchecked the box when installing.
