"Removed from Sale" in ibookstore?

Post by q5485 »

Hi
Has anyone uploaded their children's books (typically in fexed layout form) on ibookstore? When I do that, I instantly get "removed from sale" message on itunesconnect. My epubs are also validated and ibookstore does not give me any reason why those books are rejected.

Has anyone had any luck with this message or uploaded books to ibookstore?
Thanks so much.

Hi,
It seems to be a rather common issue with the iTunes Connect process. Here is from https://discussions.apple.com/message/15085816:
“I also have issues with the whole iTunes Connect process. On my first attempt, I failed the epub filter and Producer notified me of several mistakes. Those were fixed and on my second attempt I successfully uploaded my epub, metadata and cover jpg. After a couple days of Pending status the submission changed to Quality Check status and then on day nine it changed to Removed From Sale status. There was no feedback at this point, all one can do is to pore over the Apple documentation, which I did. I found that Apple requires the use of a <CONTENT> file which the official epub standard says is 'optional.' Well it is optional for everyone but Apple. On my third attempt at upload with the aforementioned problem fixed, the Removed From Sale status never changed during the next ten business days. So again, I carefully scrutinized every page of every Apple document related to this whole process. I found out that I had capitalized all the letters in the meta data book title and author's name. This by itself results in a rejection (the docs say.) I also found a few more minor glitches, nits really. I am on my forth upload and the status still shows Removed from Sale. I am POSITIVE that everything is fixed this time but Apple does not answer my emails. There are no telephone numbers to call. It is all very frustrating. What I am afraid of is that once a Removed from Sale status is assigned, that no matter how many time you resubmit your package, no one looks at it again?!? I cannot find anywhere in Apple documentation what an author does in this situation? Do we start over from scratch and upload a new book? Apple, please tell us and we will comply!!!”
And here is from http://blog.mobilesnapp.com/2011/03/cre ... rt-3-of-3/:
“Removed from Sale – your app has been removed from the App Store. You will need to contact iTunes Connect Support to determine why your app was removed.”
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert
