Hot Calculator
I find myself using Atlantis as a calculator a lot now, because I have a shortcut to it on my Quick launch bar, which means it's easier to get at than the Windows calculator. I have noticed that if I type in an equation, say 350*2.32, I then must press Alt+= twice, the first time highlights the equation, the second performs it. Is there a shortcut around this?

Re: Hot Calculator
Your document might contain not only equations but ordinary text too. So you have to tell Atlantis which fragment of your document contains the equation you wish to calculate (the desired equation should be selected before performing calculations). But if you have not selected your equation, and the Enable Autodetection of Expressions option is on (the Hot Calculator tab of the Tools|Options... dialog), Atlantis does not calculate any equations but attempts to detect your equation at the current cursor position. If an equation found, it is highlighted (selected). If Atlantis detected and selected wrong equation, you are able to select another fragment of your document.

Initialy you had to select the desired equation manually. But the Enable Autodetection of Expressions option does this for you.

I know, you expected even more automation from Atlantis.

You're right, I'm just being lazy. :-[ There is never any other text in the file, but the cursor position is, of course, at the end of expression. Autodetection is on, and double-clicking Alt+= is still way quicker than navigating to the Windows calculator. Thanks for the calculator function, I use it for currency conversion all the time now when shopping on the Web (2.32 is the exchange rate for NZ$ to US$, that's why I gave it in the example)admin wrote:
Your document might contain not only equations but ordinary text too. Hello,
Just registered.
Speaking about equations.
Does the program contain mathematical symbols used in geometry ?

Adriaan
