Gray Underlining

Post by Stringband »

Parts of the text in book length document I'm working on have an irritating gray underlining that I can't get rid of. Searched the toolbars and help menus and still can't find it.

Can anyone tell me how to switch off this function, whatever the heck it is?

Thanks.....

Gray Underlining

Post by Stringband »

No sooner had I entered this post than I found the answer. It was TOO simple and I overlooked it before. It is the 'spell check as you write' function. A simple click and it was gone.

What threw me off was that only portions of the document had the gray underlining.

Thanks, anyway....

Hi,
The “gray” wiggly underline is actually blue. It underlines the words associated with a language for which no spellchecker is installed. Maybe you should install the spellchecker corresponding to that language.
HTH.
