I'm brand new to Atlantis...
I have created separate word doc files for each chapter, and I would like to convert them to an ePub.
The word docs have been saved as an .adpr project. With this project open all the filenames are displayed at the bottom of the screen, and a single doc is open.
The manual apparently only refers to a SINGLE input document when it states "Run the File - Save Special - Save as EBOOK. because the resulting EPUB contains ONLY the doc that is actually open on screen when I save as epub.
How do I convert these MULTIPLE docs to a single ePUB??

Hi Tom,
You need to create a “master” document collating all your chapters first. Then you can save it as eBook. Here is how I would go about this.
1. Open the relevant “.adpr” project.
2. Press “Ctrl+Alt+F8” to empty the Clippy Bank contents if necessary.
3. Click the “Chapter 1” tab on the Document Bar.
4. Press “Ctrl+A” to select all of “Chapter 1”.
5. Press “Ctrl+F8” to append the contents of “Chapter 1” to the Clippy Bank.
6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 for each of the chapters of your book.
7. When the contents of all the chapters have been appended to the Clippy Bank, press “F8” to open it if it isn’t already open. If it is already open, switch to it using the Document Bar.
8. Make all suitable adjustments to the Clippy Bank contents.
9. Press “F12” and save the Clippy Bank contents as your “master” document (book). Give it any suitable name.
10. Open this “master” document and save it as eBook.
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert

You can also do the following:
1) Press Ctrl+N in Atlantis to create a new blank document.
2) Use the "Insert | File..." menu command of Atlantis to insert chapter DOCs to the active document. In the "Insert | File..." dialog you can select multiple files by Ctrl+clicking them.
3) Choose the "File | Save Special | Save as eBook..." menu command of Atlantis to save the active document as eBook.

This works, but of course it merges all my carefully formatted Foreword, Publisher's Note, and Chapters into a single page document. I now have to back and perform the same formatting done previously. I'm hoping that once I shift all 26 sections to begin on separate pages, that the ePub document will respect the separate pages...
The whole idea of creating separate docs per section and chapter was to avoid this situation. After all, when you "unzip" an ePub document, they are composed of MANY separate files for a multitude of reasons.
I'm amazed that saving the files as a Project group, and then saving that GROUP of files as an ePub doesn't work. That's what I thought the idea of the PROJECT was for. Wrong again...

Hi Tom,
If the documents of your “.adr” project are “Chapters”, I assume that they begin with a heading (chapter title). If you have followed standard practice, these headings must be formatted with a specific style, i.e. a “Heading” style. I suggest that you make a change to this “Heading” style so that its “Paragraph” properties include the “Page break before” attribute. In this way, when you merge the book chapters into one single document, each chapter will start on a new page. And so will the chapters in the EPUB file.
You could even make this change to the “Heading” style after merging the book chapters. If each chapter starts with a “Heading style” paragraph, and that style includes the “Page break before” attribute, each will begin on a new page.
