Loss of images and text boxes on opening file

I am importing a .doc file which contains embedded jpegs and text boxes. None of these are visible in Atlantis. I know that this should work because I have done it with an earlier version of the document.
I can't see them regardless of draft mode or print mode display.

I also find on this version that the jpeg table I have inserted will not display properly even in draft mode, and when printed, does not wrap the text around, but overprints the table.

What am I doing now that is different than when it worked? I can't think of anything, other than the page size and margin settings having changed.

I would attach the original .doc file, but it is 1.05 Mb.

Sorry, but the present version of Atlantis does not support text boxes and text wrap around images.

Thanks. It is possible that I didn't notice previously that the Text boxes were not included.. I can probably live without them - or perhaps you can suggest a way to put a section of text with a shaded background that distinguishes it from the general flow of narrative.

But even though there is no text wrap around images, I am quite sure taht last time the embedded jpegs were importing correctly, not being left out. What has happened to them?
Also, the ones that came through were not being overlayed by text when published - even if there was an overlay when viewing them on screen in print layout mode. In a previous reply to me you indicated that they would dsiplay correctly (or more reliably) on screen when viewing in draft mode. And that worked. But that doesn't seem to be happening now.

So I am still confused
