Keep Bookmarks available - even when a doc is converted

Post by Gessner2010 »

I’m using Atlantis for some years now and there’s hardly a feature I’m really missing. I use to make extensive use of bookmarking in order to structure (or index) longer documents to make its content easily retrievable even weeks later. But what I’m really missing is a way to save these index entries when I export such documents, e. g. into ConnectedText (my favorite document respository).
In other words: It would be extremely useful if Atlantis made these bookmarks also available when a document is converted e.g. into a simple txt-File. It would even be sufficient if these bookmark entries appear at the beginning (or end) of such a file as a simple list. As long as they don’t get lost at all – any procedure/option would be welcome.
Thanks for considering this idea.

Hi,
As you must be aware, bookmarks cannot be saved to pure text files. If what you need is to add a list of the original bookmark names to the text files, you could use a third-party application to retrieve the list of bookmarks displayed in the Atlantis Control Board Bookmarks panel. “SysExporter” will do the trick and is available at http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/sysexp.html.
HTH.

Hello Robert,
sorry for my late reply, but I've been out of office for some days.
Sysexporter works fine, so I can consider my problem solved.
Thanks a lot!
