Hi, I have installed the new version of Atlantis and have noticed that the preview mode cannot be customised.

Many thanks

Could you please be more specific: what preview mode, and how you wanted to customize it? Do you mean the "Print preview" mode enabled through the "File | Preview" menu command?

The context toolbar of the Print Preview mode of Atlantis cannot be customized. The same regarding any other context toolbar of Atlantis (Header and Footer, View Side by Side, Bullets & Numbers).
Also the page margin borders are broken top and bottom.
I cannot reproduce this glitch. Do you get this broken display when viewing any document in Atlantis? Can this be reproduced under any zooming factor?

Hi, yes the broken page margin borders are the same whether I am viewing a document or not. The version prior to this update I was able to customise the print preview mode. I could add or remove icons to suite.

Yes, the "Preview" toolbar was customizable in older versions of Atlantis. But other "context" toolbars of Atlantis were non-customizable. So in order to make things more consistent, we had to "lock" this "context" "Preview" toolbar too. Sorry for any possible inconveniences.

About the page margin borders.

1. Do you get the broken display under the "File | Preview" mode only?

2. According to your screen capture, the zooming factor in your document was 133%. What if you try a different zooming factor?

3. What is your Windows theme? Could you (temporarily) switch to another standard theme of your Windows through the Display settings of the Windows Control Panel?

4. Do you get the broken display when you create a new blank document by pressing Ctrl+N?

Hello Admin. OK about the preview mode, that's not a great problem. The broken display breaks up from and after 60%, it is OK under that. It is still the same in all themes and still the same when as you suggest creating a new blank document.
This is in the preview mode only. Normal window the line is broken all the time. My windows 7 PC is fine.
Thanks.

Please open attached document (see a link below) in your Atlantis.

Does the top page margin border on page #2 display correctly?

Thanks.

Thanks. Now we know where the page rendering engine of Atlantis fails to "draw" a proper page margin border on your system (I mean we know what line of code fails). But we have no explanation for why it fails on your system. It is just a routine that set pixels of specific color at specific locations within the document window.

I have noticed one strange thing on your screen capture. If we divide the document window area on your screen capture into columns each 256 pixels wide, the display is correct within the odd-numbered columns only (pixels #0 through #255, #512 through #767, etc). I do not understand why the used function of Windows GDI (namely SetPixel) fails to put proper pixels within even-numbered columns.

By the way, what is your video card?

I never said that something is wrong with your PC. I said that I do not understand why some basic routines do not work correctly on your system.

By the way, a few words about the "Page margin borders" and "Special symbols" view options of Atlantis. The "Print preview" mode of Atlantis (activated through the "File | Preview..." menu command) is supposed to display documents in the way they will be printed. No page margin borders or special symbols should be displayed under the "Print preview" mode because they will never be printed. So in any next release of Atlantis, the "Page margin borders" and "Special symbols" view options will not be available under the "Print preview" mode.
