Foreign words appear in italics --
Foreign words appear in italics --
-- and a word processor that offered to exclude italicised words from spellcheck would make users wonder why no programmer had ever noticed this before. Atlantis ddyry cychwyn (or if you don't speak Welsh, Atlantis leads the way)!
Perhaps at least part of this could be the result of my suggested select and amend feature i.e. selecting 'foreign' words by setting the parameters to select all 'misspelled' words (as opposed to by font, size, colour etc).
Hi,
There is a simple way to exclude specific words from spellcheck in Atlantis: you only have to apply the “<none>” language to them.
Maybe the easiest method is to apply totally unusual formatting to them as you type. It might be simple underline or italics if your document does not include such formatting. When you have finished typing, do a search/replace with a search for all underlined or italicized words, and replace with the “<none>” language format.
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert
