Spellcheck Oddity

Post by Russell Adams »

I use Atlantis for critiques of short stories as part of a writing group I belong to. My preferred way of making detailed comments is

>The sun rhose majestically in the west (author's original line)
--The sun rises in the east normally. (my first comment)
--"rhose": spelling error "rose" (my second comment)

The first comment is correctly not flagged as a spelling error. The second comment is and --"rhose is flagged (but not the final quote), not just "rhose". In fact, even if a correctly spelled word appears in place of rhose, say:

--"rose": Flower in previous line was a posie.

Then --"rose is flagged.

This problem is reproducable just by pasting the above example into an open Atlantis document.

I'm currently using 1.6.4.3 but the same thing happened in 1.6.4.2 and (I believe) 1.6.4.1 as well.

This is a small and probably odd problem but it does complicate my spell checking of these critiques since I have to look at each occurrence individually.

This bug will be fixed in any next release of Atlantis Word Processor.

The latest beta of Atlantis - 1.6.5.0 (a8) - has this bug fixed. You can already download it from the Betatesting page.

Thanks for reporting this bug.
