We just put Atlantis on a new Windows 7 machine. Everything seems to be working fine, but when we tried to squeeze a line using "CTRL ALT left arrow", the entire Atlantis program display turned 90 degrees! When we tried a second time, everything turned 180, and so forth.
Is there any way to program a different hot key sequence so that we can get the squeeze function back?
Hot "squeeze" key not working on Windows 7
Hi,
In Atlantis, the Ctrl+Alt+Arrow keys are assigned to the “Compress text”, “Expand text” and “Offset up” commands by default (see Hot Keys. Font Formatting Commands and Customizing Hot Keys).
It so happens that these same hot keys are also assigned by default to the “screen rotation” commands by some of the ATI and Nvidia graphic cards, in which case they might override the Atlantis own settings.
To get out of this catch-22, you can either
– change or disable the graphic card hot keys,
– or change or disable the Atlantis own hot keys.
Changing or disabling the Atlantis hot keys is done in the “Tools | Hot Keys…” dialog. But obviously, this not what you want.
Changing or disabling your graphic card hot keys is done in the graphic card Properties dialog (“Hot Keys” tab). You normally open it by right-clicking your Windows Desktop and choosing “Properties” in the menu.
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert
