I usually use Alt I D to insert the date into my documents. (From the Menu). I see that you can also use Shift Alt D. (From the Hot Key List). Is there a difference between the two, or is it just a matter of preference?
The Atlantis Forum is a great Asset. Keep it up.

Hot Keys for a Date?
There is no difference between these two keyboard shortcuts. They invoke the same command of Atlantis. But "Alt+I,D" is a menu shortcut. It is based on the "underlined letters" within captions of menu items. If you remove the "Insert | Date" command from your Atlantis menu through the "Tools | Menus..." menu command of Atlantis, "Alt+I,D" would become nonoperational.
