ePub, eBook Publishing

Post by Robert »

Hi,
If you have eBooks, ePubs that you’d like to publish and sell, you might try your luck at http://www.lulu.com/publish/ebooks/?cid ... e_nav_ebk. Here is from that page:

“It pays to go green.
Publish your book for free and your work can be purchased and downloaded within minutes. The portfolio of your best work, your dissertation, a simple essay, whatever. If you created it and want to make it available to others, you've come to the right place.
eBooks are popping up all over. They're the perfect way for you to earn a few bucks without investing a cent. Publish your book for free and your work can be purchased or downloaded within minutes.”
As I understand things, their fee is only 20% off the selling price.
HTH.
Cheers,
Robert

I did it just now. The problem is still that you need a reader on the iPhone like Stanza to get this to work. Stanza isn't the best free reader really. It would be nice if they could make it into a separate ebook app that could be installed on the iPhone.

Hi André,
Have you tried the “eReader Pro for iPhone and iPod touch” (http://www.ereader.com/ereader/software/browse.htm)?
Note that there is a version available for Windows (http://www.ereader.com/ereader/software ... ro_win.htm).
Cheers,
Robert

Hi André,
Sorry for misleading you, but it appears that the “eReader Pro for iPhone and iPod touch” available from http://www.ereader.com/ereader/software/browse.htm can only read "native" ".pdb" eBook files, which makes it rather useless.
Best to forget about this post!
Cheers,
Robert

No Problem. I knew already that it's still difficult to get an epub file on the iphone. I hope something really simple will come along soon!
