Help with: style heading assign outline level

Post by criss »

Hi,

please help me with this I don't get it:
I want to create an additional heading style, f.e. "Heading 4" in normal.rtf-Template.
After I created a new style called "Heading 4", how do I assign an outline level to it?
The Edit Style | Paragraph | Outline level box is deactivated!
If I assign Edit Style | List | outline list (level 4) to it, this will NOT assign outline level: 4 to it, which means heading 4 items are not shown under Heading in the Cotrol Board.

Thanks
Christian

It is a bug. "Heading N" styles are supposed to have a permanent outline level N. This bug will be fixed in Atlantis 1.6.2.

Please download and run the latest setup of Atlantis from the Betatesting page. Atlantis will automatically assign the proper outline level to your new "Heading N" styles when you complete editing their properties.

Thanks for reporting this bug.

Thanks admin!

1.6.2 works as you described.

BTW Atlantis is great, I'm really happy that I have found it in this jungle of bloated office suites.

Just checked the Betatestig page to grab the latest version and was greeted with:

"Sorry but no beta version of Atlantis is currently available for testing."

Eh?

Just download the latest public setup file of Atlantis Word Processor from our Downloads page, and run it.

Ah... that explains it - all updated now :)

I tried 'Check for updates' in the Atlantis help menu but it didn't find a newer version so I downloaded and installed manually. Shouldn't it have realised there was a newer version?

The problem is that both versions have the same version number. The "Check for updates" command of Atlantis detects new versions when they have a different version number.

I must admit I wondered why the different Beta releases didn't have updated (minor) version numbers - they were different versions after all.

Clearly not a big problem but it seems logical to update the number of different versions. Call me old fashioned

Updating beta versions of Atlantis will be easier. Please see the following post from the Atlantis Word Processor Blog for details:
