Template Vs INI Files - Saving Settings

Post by acant05 »

The following settings/options, where are they saved?

Styles (Template I assume)
Format Palette?
Clip Library?
Toolbars (INI file?)
Options (INI File I assume)
Any others I can't think of...

Thanks,

Al

Styles are a property of a particular document. Document templates in Atlantis are ordinary documents stored under a special folder on a disk. So any document or document template in Atlantis has its own set of styles stored within the corresponding document file.

Items of the Atlantis Clip Library are stored under the "Clip Library" subfolder of the Atlantis home folder (the default home folder of Atlantis Word Processor on most systems is "C:\Program Files\Atlantis\"). Each clip is a separate file (either a document file or a graphic file).

The Format Palette, the toolbar settings, and most other settings of Atlantis Word Processor are stored in the Windows Registry. But if you use Atlantis on a removable drive (normally a memory flash drive) or launch it with the -lsi, -LoadSettingsFromIni, -ssi, or -SaveSettingsToIni command-line switches, an INI file is used instead.

The spellcheck lexicons and the Power Type cache data are stored under the "Spellcheck" subfolder of the Atlantis home folder.
