removing page numbers from future documents

I went to ""Insert" to number the pages in a document and cannot reverse the command

Hi,
Pressing Ctrl+Z will reverse any command, including “Insert | Page Numbers…”, provided the document wasn’t closed before.

When the document was saved and closed, you need to remove the page numbers manually. Here is how to proceed:

1. Display the Headers & Footers areas (“View | Header and Footer”)
2. Click in the header or footer where the first page number is.
3. Select and delete (Del key) the page number.
4. Save the document.
