I downloaded a trial copy of Atlantis WP and was very impressed with its interface and functionality. I have, however, noticed the following anomaly:
I have a simple one-page (dot doc) document that Atlantis reports as containing 32 words. If line 9, column 35 of that document contains a vowel, Atlantis freezes when trying to open the document, and a memory leak is initiated, with Windows XP Task Manager reporting progressively increasing memory usage. If line 9 column 35 is a consonant, the file opens normally.
Other characteristics of the problem:
Word, Wordpad, and Textmaker open the file normally.
Other (though not all) documents exhibit the same problem.
The problem seems to be limited to line 9 column 35 in this document (other documents require that many vowels be replaced with consonants to resolve the problem).
The document was not created with Atlantis.
The problem does not appear with Atlantis installed on a non-removable drive.
The problem appears on two PCs (running Atlantis from the same stick drive).
When opening the file by right-clicking the file name in Windows Explorer and selecting ‘Open With’ the file/s open properly. Only when using the ‘File Open’ menu item from within Atlantis will the anomaly be seen.
Best Regards,
Paul

Thanks for your document.
There is a bug in the Preview feature of the "Open Document" dialog related to the automatic hyphenation of Atlantis. A fix will be included in any next release of Atlantis Word Processor.
