page number font
I've been using Atlantis for screenwriting. I can format everything to industry standards using Atlantis with the exception of the page number - this has to be in the same font as the rest of the document.

I CAN force Atlantis to use the font of my choice - but only by deleting every other true type font in my fonts folder.

Any word on whether font/font size selection for the page number will be available in a future release?

Its not necessary to support headers to have this feature as I've seen it implemented in another word processor that doesn't support headers either.
Re: page number font
Headers/footers are scheduled for the next minor version of Atlantis. They would allow you to use the desired font for page numbers.

Despite the assurance (again!) on 4/18/02 that we will have headers and footers, we have another revision without them. We now have the ability to use MS Word format, but some of us have embraced Atlantis because we do not _want_ to use MS Word. The only reason I even installed MS Works (after purchasing Atlantis and dumping AmiPro) was to add headers and footers to documents created in Atlantis. I have not, do not, and will not use the *.doc format.

More and more, I find Billy-the-kid Gates and the Microsoft Marauders grabbing my computer by the bytes and sqeezing hard. I'm very disappointed that the Atlantis team finds this to be more of an improvement than adding headers and footers as promised. Some of us have been waiting for a long time.

Larenadmin wrote:
Headers/footers are scheduled for the next minor version of Atlantis. "Minor version" and "Minor release" are different things.
1.1 and 1.2 are different minor versions.
1.1.0 and 1.1.1 are different minor releases but the same minor version.

About MS Word DOC. I am sure that ability to create DOC files is a serious improvement for many Atlantis users. We do not implement things "just because". If a program supports more document formats, this could not be a disadvantage. You may love Microsoft or hate them. But the DOC format is a standard.

As I said in my previous post, a new minor version of Atlantis (1.?) will include headers/footers.

You should be more patient.
