Word 2007
No, when the alt key is pressed a shaded letter apears by the item (file, print etc) this then shows which key activates the item to be used.

What you get in MS Word 2007 is exactly the same what you get in any standard menu (when you access it through the keyboard). Just press F10 or Alt in Atlantis, and the menu shortcuts would be indicated as the underlined characters:

For example, as indicated on the above screen captures, you can press Alt+F,G in Atlantis to display the "Page Settings" dialog.

Hi Admin.
Yes but word 2007 shows all shortcuts not just..file view insert etc. Im not saying word 2007 is better than Atlantis ( Atlantis is the word processor) it's the one I trust for all my writing, but word 2007 have something here that to me is a very useful item. Did you manage to see the picture from my previous post? this explains it better. Thanks admin for your interest.

Hi,
The shortcuts might be more visible in Word 2007 but they work in exactly the same way. Let's suppose that you open Word 2007 and Atlantis concurrently.
1. In both Word 2007 and Atlantis, you have to press the Alt key first to display the shortcut keys to the main menus (Home, Insert, Page Layout, References, etc in Word 2007, File, Edit, View, Insert, etc in Atlantis).
2. Next you have to press one of these shortcut keys to open the corresponding main menu (category).
3. Finally, to open an item of interest in the menu, you must press the corresponding shortcut key.
Cheers,
Robert

Yes, I can see your pictures. MS Word 2007 displays the shortcuts of the commands that are currently visible (in view). Atlantis does the same. Atlantis never displays the "File" and "View" menus concurrently. Only one menu can be displayed at a time.medion wrote:Hi Admin.

Again, Atlantis and MS Word 2007 work completely identically in this aspect. MS Word 2007 also does not display all its commands (there are multiple categories of commands).
