Like the rest of the planet I have been using MSOffice for years, but it's coming up to time for an upgrade. Given the MS pricing policy, I have been looking at alternatives.
I am considering Atlantis as an alternative word processor. I really like its features and it seems suitable for my current wish, which to have parallel software on both my PC and my U3 Sandisk Cruzer.
The first obvious question that I have though, is how easy it is to send (and receive) Atlantis documents as attachments to an MSWord/Office user. I will need to do a lot of this and although I am sure you will tell me there are simple procedures for pre- or post-conversion of the given documents, I'm wondering whether any Atlantis documents I have composed, using its novel formats and inserts abilities, will reopen in MSWord without the correct format/inserts, or with the format/inserts all jumbled up?
Answers referring to people's experiences as well as on the 'how to' procedures would be much appreciated.
By the way - is there a trial option where I could download Atlantis and see what happens for myself, as well?
