Error message hen loading a doc file

Every time I try to load a file with footnotes Atlantis closes and shows this message:

Exception with the message
"Access violation at 00406DC7 in Atlantis.exe"
raised while executing sensitive operation. Document (names the document and location) will be closed.

Any help?

We could help if you told us which version of Atlantis you are using and if you sent the problem document to support@AtlantisWordProcessor.com
Also please give detailed information on the exact steps necessary to reproduce the problem.

Hi Robert

I cannot believe how efficient you guys are! Thanks very, very much for the solution. The file now opens fine and I can proof read it and correct spacing, etc. before importing it to Indesign for my literary magazine. I really do appreciate your efforts.
