outline option

Post by Andremusic »

I was wondering if it would be possible to put the outline option in the right mouse menu. So after selecting some text, right click and then choose something like: ad to outline list. I still have problems with making quickly an outline list.

Re: Quick outline list

Hi, André!

If the target paragraph is not already part of an outline list and you want to make it part of a new list, you can right-click within that paragraph and choose "Lists" from the pop-up menu. This brings up the "Lists" dialog where you can set up a new outline list as desired.

Alternatively, you can press the "Outline list" button on the toolbars. This will immediately apply the default outline list template. If you want to apply a different outline list template, you have to click the down arrow to the right of that same toolbar button, and choose an outline list from your List Gallery.

If the target paragraph is not already part of an outline list and you want to make it part of an existing list, you need to use the Control Board "Lists" panel:

1. Press F6 to display the Control Board if it isn't already displaying.
2. Click to display the "Lists" panel.
3. In the "Lists" panel, select the target outline list.
4. Use the button toolbar at the bottom of the "Lists" panel, and click "Include document selection in the list highlighted above".

Hope this helps.
Cheers
Robert
