Sorting

Post by Presca »

I wouldn't mind there to be a sort in the features, one where you can sort either alphabetically or numerically. Thanks:) I love the program.

Re: Sort feature

Greetings--
There already is a Sort feature. You can put it in your menus, on your toolbars, use the original keyboard shortcuts, or create new ones.

Here is how to proceed if you want the Sort command on one of the main menus:

1. Click "Tools | Menus..."
2. Choose "All commands" from the "Available commands" drop-down list on the right.
3. Scroll down the commands list until you find "Sort paragraphs in ascending order" or "Sort paragraphs in descending order".
4. Use drag & drop or the arrow buttons to place the chosen command in the target menu on the left of the "Menus" dialog.
5. OK out of the dialog.

Now if you want the Sort command on one of the toolbars:

1. Click "Tools | Toolbars..."
2. Click to choose the Main or Alternative set of commands.
3. Choose "All commands" from the "Commands" drop-down list on the left.
4. Scroll down the commands list until you find "Sort paragraphs in ascending order" or "Sort paragraphs in descending order".
5. Choose the target toolbar from the drop-down list on the right.
6. Use drag & drop or the arrow buttons to place the chosen command on the target toolbar on the right of the "Toolbars" dialog.
7. OK out of the dialog.

The original keyboard shortcuts are

Ctrl+Shift+K, A to sort paragraphs in ascending order.

Ctrl+Shift+K, Z to sort paragraphs in descending order.

You can modify these shortcuts if they don't suit you. Simply use the "Tools | Hot Keys..." dialog.

Cheers
