Tool bar drop-down missing

I noticied recently that the drop-down for the toolbar Open File button was missing and also for the Insert Symbol button. There are no drop-down arrows on either of the two toolbars. I reinstalled Atlantis 1.6.0.1 over the existing install, but that did not bring back the drop-downs. Do you know what might have caused these drop-downs to go away?

What do I need to do to restore the drop-downs?

Please right-click the toolbars, and make sure that the "Drop Down Menus" item is checked.
