Auto-insert non-breaking space before footnote
Can you add a field for a symbol inserted automatically before footnote mark? And a separate button to insert a footnote with last format used (without a window appearing)?

>And, btw, can you give us opportunity to define out own footnote numerators? I'd like to have *, **, ***, but I cant see how if this can be done.
If you mean automatic note references, they can only be of one of the formats offered in the “Insert | Footnote…” dialog of Atlantis (Arabic numbers, Roman numbers, Latin letters, Chicago). No other automatic formats are possible in RTFs and DOCs. But you can insert notes with custom (nonautomatic, manual) reference marks. These marks can be any letter or symbol. Just specify the required symbol (or string of symbols) in the “Custom mark” box of the “Insert | Footnote…” dialog.

I do not understand what you mean. Atlantis never (automatically) inserts symbols before note reference marks.
Also note that Atlantis cannot introduce field types unsupported by MS Word due to a number of compatibility reasons.

The “Insert | Footnote…” dialog does not display the last used format. The format of automatic note reference marks is a property of a document section. In other words, all the automatic note reference marks of a section share the same format.
Anyway if you simply want to insert a new footnote with the automatic reference mark that has the same format as other automatic reference marks in this document section, you could place the “Footnote” toolbar button onto your toolbars. It would still display the “Footnote & Endnote” dialog, but you would only need to press the Enter key to insert a new note:

If you want to have space characters before note reference marks, this currently can be done only manually:
1) Choose the “Edit | Find…” menu command (or press Ctrl+F).
2) Specify “^f” as a search string.
3) Press “Find Next”. This would select the first note reference mark.
4) Close the “Find / Replace” dialog (simply press Esc).
5) Press the Ctrl+Home keys to place the caret at the start of your document.
6) Press F3 to find and select the next note reference mark.
7) Press the Left Arrow key to deselect this mark, and place the caret before it.
8) Press Ctrl+Shift+Space to insert a nonbreaking space before the current note reference mark.
9) Press F3 twice to select the next note reference mark.
10) Repeat steps 7), 8), and 9) until all the note reference marks have a nonbreaking space before.

Thanks for your answers.
I am aware of searching footnote marks and manual symbol inserting, and I know about custom panels. Thanks for the info on custom footnote numerators, I didnt know RTF doesnt support it.
The only thing I really need is automatic non-breaking space before a footnote ref., and a working shortcut to insert a footnote with no questions asked, just use the last used format or whatever. I've tried to bind Alt-Ins for a "footnote" menu item... go see what will hapen if you will use this shortcut (turn special symbols display on to see paragraph mark go superscript
and tell me why there's even no window appearing. I'm using Atlantis 1.6.1.

Are you sure that you assigned the Alt+Ins combination to the “Footnote” command from the “Insert” category? The “Tools | Hot Keys…” dialog should display the Alt+Ins hot key among the assigned hot keys when you select the corresponding command, and this hot key should work properly (ie display the corresponding dialog):

It works from time to time.
I've checked it out when you've said it should work... it worked, I've got a footnote window. But a few seconds after -- it does not work. I press shortcut, and any next key pressed gives me no reaction. Press one more key and you will get it (get the key - a letter, a space.. not a footnote). After shortcut every other key is "eaten".
I've remapped it to CTRL-SHIFT-INS and it works ok. Let it stay so.
