Have downloaded and installed v1.5.4.8 and now when I open documents created with the previous version that contain "links" (either e-mail addreses or websites) my dialer is activated. In the document with email addresses it takes in the neighborhood 20 clicks on the "work offline" button to get to the document. In the document with links to websites it takes about 3 clicks of the "work offline" button to get to the document.
Just opened the document containing e-mail addresses while connected and below is an example of what's going on captured by and copied from my Firewall. I need to stop this activity.
'Atlantis Word Processor' from your computer wants to send UDP datagram to laxns1.o1.com [69.19.190.116], port 53
When I open my "Default" document, containing nothing, there is no problem. I do not understand what's going on.
My system is set up with "RTF" files asociated with Atlantis and I am opening these documents by clicking on a shortcut to the document itself (not a shortcut to Atlantis with the filename in the command line).
I am hoping there is a remedy for this problem so I won't have to go back to the previous version because I really like the bookmarks in the Control Panel and the expanded color choices.
Any help will be appreciated.
Bob
New version wants to connect to you! Why?
Atlantis sends nothing to us, and does not try to contact our site. When a document contains unresolved images (the "INCLUDEPICTURE" fields which include only image URLs), Atlantis tries to retrieve the images themselves in order not to display blank placeholders instead of actual images. Normally such "INCLUDEPICTURE" fields appear in your document when you paste a Web page fragment from your Web browser.
You can easily configure your system so that these "Connect to Internet" dialogs would not pop up. Just choose "Tools | Internet Options" in MS Internet Explorer, and check the "Never dial a connection" box on the "Connections" page.

Attempts to Connect
Bob,
In Atlantis with the problem file open, click on Tools menu, select Auto Correct Options and Uncheck 'Format Internet Address with hyperlinks' box and the program will no longer tried to format your data.
Also it is a goos idea to set 'Do Not Dial' in Internet Options (Windows Control Penal) so You chosse when to connect instead some program thinking it should because you started function that 'needs' it.
