Changing format of list

Post by John Stafford »

Hi: if I generate a numbered list, and use a bold font, then later want to remove the bolding fro mthe entire list, I can't seem to remove the bolding from the actual list numbers. Have I missed something? Thanks. John

If the bold characteristic is stored within the list format (click any of the list items, then choose "Format | List", click the "Font..." button, and check whether the "Bold" box is checked), removing bold from the list paragraphs themselves is not sufficient. The "Bold" check box should be unchecked in the "Format | List > Font" dialog.

If you never included bold to the list format through the "Format | List > Bold" dialog, most probably that the list numbers are in bold because the corresponding paragraph end marks of your list items are in bold. Just select your entire list (including paragraph end marks), and press Ctrl+B to remove bold.

Hello!

when I click in a "numbering button" in toolbar, I create a list with a tab follow text, by default. How can I have a list number follow text with space, by default??

TIA

Just adjust any of the list formats in your List Gallery, and make it your default simple numbered list.
