language setting

Post by Andremusic »

I notice everytime again that it takes me some effort to get the default language settings correct. I write in Dutch and when I for example copy a dutch text into a new document, everything is grey underlined because Atlantis doesn't know yet that I am writing in Dutch. To get the underlining away and get the dutch settings correct, I change via Format/default Language into Dutch, but still everything is grey underlined. I change via the spell checking at the bottom of the screen by double clicking it and select Dutch, but still everything is grey underlined. How can I get everything without the grey underline without disable the spell checking?

Changing the "Default language" does not affect the existing text. It applies only to a new (typed/pasted) text. If you want to mark the existing text with another language, please select this text first, then use the "Format | Language..." menu command, or simply double-click the language section in the Atlantis status bar.

Blue wavy underline means that no spellchecker is available for the language associated with the underlined text.
