I welcome the move to make Atlantis portable, and usable from a memory flash drive. I also like the option to use the Atlantis.ini file to hold all the settings, in preference to holding them in the Registry; this makes it simple to backup the whole application in one go, and transfer the Atlantis directory to a USB key device for use on another PC.
The problem I am having is in using Atlantis as normal, on it's home PC where it was installed. If Atlantis is launched as atlantis.exe /lsi /ssi, all the settings are taken and saved in the .ini file. On the other hand, I have associated .rtf files with Atlantis, and clicking on such a file loads Atlantis without the .ini switches; settings are then based on the Registry. The result is two different groups of settings (the most obvious being two versions of the Recent Documents list).
Is there any way that I can indicate that, however I invoke Atlantis, I want the .ini file to be used to the exclusion of the Registry?

Using Registry or .ini for settings
Please do the following:
1) choose "Tools | Folder Options... > File Types" in Windows Explorer,
2) click the RTF extension, then click the "Advanced" button,
3) click the "open" action in the "Edit File Type" dialog, then click the "Edit..." button,
4) add " -lsi -ssi" at the end of the command-line,
5) OK out of all open dialogs.

Using Registry or .ini for settings
So that's how it's done!
Thanks for unconfusing me. Long live the .ini faction.
