To choose a file from, f.e., my documents, I have to make many clicks:
File -> Open -> List. To change to details, 2 clicks more. To change the order: another click.
I would like to have THAT choice any time I want to open a file. Just as if it was an an (extra->) option. One click instead of 5 or 6.
Which list to open a file
Which list to open a file

Re: Open File
Greetings–
You’d open documents much faster if you used drag & drop from Windows Explorer (or any other alternative file manager).
By the way, the Windows Explorer is launched very quickly by pressing “Windows Key + E” on your keyboard.
Cheers

Re: Open File (2)
Greetings--
Of course I knew you meant from within Atlantis. But it is most of the time faster to use drag & drop from Windows Explorer.
Also I don't quite understand your point here. It does not matter whether documents are Word documents or RTF or COD documents. You can open any file type from Windows Explorer. You simply highlight the target file, hold the left mouse button down, and drag the special “drag & drop” mouse pointer onto the Atlantis title bar. If your applications are maximized and Atlantis is not visible, you have to bring Atlantis up first by holding the “drag & drop” mouse pointer over the Atlantis tab on the Windows Taskbar.
This is of course if you want to open your document in Atlantis. If you want to open it in MS Word, you drag & drop onto the MS Word title bar instead.
Most recent keyboards have a “Windows” key, i.e. a special key with a “Windows” symbol on it. It is located on the right of the Ctrl key.
Note that there is another way to open files directly in Atlantis. First, place a shortcut to Atlantis in your “C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\SendTo” folder (or in the “C:\Documents and Settings\[Current User]\SendTo” folder). After that, you can right-click any file in Windows Explorer and choose “SendTo | Atlantis”.

File List in Control Board
There is a solution in the freeware Rough Draft Editor which has an Explorer type Folder and File list in is control board. I would like to have this possibility also in Atlantis because I prefer Atlantis because one can use pictures.
