copy past problems
I noticed a strange problem. Why is it not possible to copy and paste between to programs? I use another program to check my english translation and copy it from their, but whenI want to past it into Atlantis, it doesn't work. Btw. doing this with that program and Word, is no problem. But I enjoy to work with Atlantis more...

Re: Copy/Paste Problems
Greetings–
Of course, this should not happen. You could try the following:
1. If you have been using “Ctrl+C” and “Ctrl+V” to copy/paste items into Atlantis, click “Tools | Hot Keys…”, select the Edit category, and highlight the “Paste” command. Have a look at the “Hot Key” field. Does it show “Ctrl+V”? If not, use whichever Hot Key is assigned to paste text, or change the Hot Key back to “Ctrl+V” which is the standard Windows (and Atlantis) Hot Key for pasting.
2. If you have shut down the source application before pasting into Atlantis, try keeping it open. Some applications empty the clipboard when they are shut down. In this case, you have nothing to paste when you get into Atlantis.
3. Paste the copied text into the Windows NotePad. Does it get pasted as expected?
4. Try pasting with the corresponding Atlantis toolbar icon. Does it make any difference?
Cheers

Thanks!
For some reason, everything works fine now. I noticed this problem in the past as well, maybe it has to do with to order in which I start the programs or something what influences the clipbord from windows. I use mostly 3 or 4 programs at the same time for the translations from Dutch into english, and spell checking. I will keep an eye onthis. Thanks!

Hi!
It happend again! I start Atlantis. After that I start the program called, Systran (a translation prg). I copy a part of the text in Atlantis that right away into english gets translated inside Systran. With the paste option, I have to past it now into atlantis, but there is nothing on the clipbord. Sometimes, it works, other times not. What canhere be the problem?

Re: Pasting problem
Greetings—
The main question is: is there anything on the clipboard when you try to paste into Atlantis?
Obviously, Atlantis cannot paste if there is nothing available on the clipboard.
Could you please check the contents of the clipboard when this happens to you?
There is a simple way to do this. You can paste into a new NotePad document. If nothing gets pasted, this means that your clipboard got cleared by some application. Or that the copying did not work correctly.
Instead of pasting into NotePad, you could also run the Windows Clipboard Viewer. It is usually found at "C:\WINDOWS\system32\clipbrd.exe". It displays the current contents of the Windows clipboard. If there is nothing in there, then nothing can get pasted into Atlantis.
Cheers
