Spellchecking and abreviations
Spellchecking and abreviations
I have noticed that Ocean Mind correctly detects abreviations like Mr., Dr., and Mrs. and passes over them when spellchecking. I put an abreviation in a document, Prof., and spellchecking stopped on it for correction. I then entered Prof. in my User dictionary and did a spellcheck again where it again stopped at the abreviation. How can I add abreviations to the User dictionary?

There is a misunderstanding here.
Admin only suggested that you add “Prof” to your Atlantis custom dictionary, not that you should use abbreviations without their end period in your documents.
If you do add “Prof” to your custom dictionary, Atlantis will no longer report “Prof.” as misspelt.
Note that the next version of Atlantis will take a better care of these abbreviations. It will also have a new, more powerful and accurate spellcheck engine.
