additions to spellchecker

Whenever I get an unknown word the 'ADD TO DICTIONARY' is greyed out! How do I rectify this? I am a registered user. Thanks!

The "Add document word to dictionary" button of the "Tools | Check Spelling" dialog is greyed out if you do not have user dictionaries, or if Atlantis reports a doubled word. To create a user dictionary, please choose "Tools | Options > Spellcheck > Spellcheck systems and dictionaries", and click the "New..." button to create a new dictionary.
