Envelopes not printing

Post by zzzft »

Atlantis is great, but I've got a little issue here. The envelope applet was printing ok, it seems, (I haven't used it much). Then some time after I installed v. 1.5.3.0, envelopes would not print.

The popup menu functions normally -- takes an address from the book and previews the envelope -- but instead of printing, the envelope just runs through the printer and comes out blank. I uninstalled 1.5.3.0 and installed an version 1.5.2.0; that didn't help

The printer works and:
+ prints a page in Atlantis;
+ prints in other apps;
+prints an envelope in another app.

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but I've got my addresses edited and want to use Atlantis as my main mailing program -- so much easier. Any help?

Have you tried other feed methods in the "Tools | Envelopes" dialog?

Yes. My HP printer flips the paper, so of the 6 feed methods, the method it uses is face down, bottom, last. Excluding the irrelevant face up, the top three methods will print; the bottom three won't.

Did you mean that you can print envelopes if you use the top three feed methods?

No. I tested the all the feed methods on blank paper. My printer [HP 2110 all-in-one] tends to clog and jam if envelopes are widthways (flap part) first. The envelopes feed longways in the rightmost part of the tray [multiple feed], and through a slot above the tray [single feed]. That is, position sixof the feeder methos choices.

Which envelope size do you use? Could you also send your Atlantis settings to betatesting@rssol.com (choose "Tools | Options" in Atlantis, click "Save settings to INI file", and send your Atlantis.ini)?
