upgrade installations

Post by jeff »

I just downloaded and ran the 1.5.3.0 version. There were no issues at all, it seems to have worked fine. Except that when I approached the download, as a fairly new user, I wondered how to run it, would custom settings be lost, etc. and found no such info on the site. I'd have had a little more peace of mind with a short intro to the upgrade. K pardons if it's there and I missed it, I'm new to the site too.

Greetings--
Sorry if things were not clear enough.
But traditionally with all (decent) software, upgrade versions preserve custom settings.
At times, Atlantis might ask you if you want to replace existing templates or pictures or Clip Library items with newer ones. You will always have a choice between replacing or adding to the existing items.

Also the easiest way to upgrade is as follows:
1) Connect to the Internet as you usually do.
2) Open Atlantis.
3) Launch the "Help | Check for Updates..." command.
4) Downloading will start automatically and Atlantis will take care of everything for you. Simply follow onscreen instructions.
Cheers
Robert
