Document Sections

I think I have found a use for Document Sections in a document of mine. Unfortunately I must have misunderstood how to create a section. I try Insert/Symbol/Special Symbol but there is no sign of "Section" in the list. Could you tell me simply how to create a document section and under what circumstances it is posible, please?

You have to use the drop-down menu attached to the "Insert Symbol" button found on the "Extended" toolbar.
Alternatively, you could add the corresponding command(s) to your main menus. For this, use the "Tools | Menus..." dialog.
