Access violation

Post by luha »

WOW! Thank you for the new beta!

Sometimes when I try to use the Clip Library by typing asterisk and three letters, I get an error message saying «Access violation at address 00568D53 in module 'ATLANTIS EXE'. Read of address FFFFFFFF.» However many times I click OK, it keeps returning till I type [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Delete]. Anything you can do?

Did you mean that this message is displayed every time you type “*bul” (or a similar sequence of characters)?
Is this systematic?
Is the “View | Clip Library” command checked in your Atlantis? If it is unchecked, is this message displayed only when this command is unchecked?

No, most of the times "*bul" works like it is supposed to. Only now and then I get the error message.
I think the "View | Clip Library" has been unchecked when this has happened. I will tell you if it happens again.

OK. It is very important to be able to reproduce a problem.

View | Clip Library

It happened again! The "View | Clip Library" command was unchecked. I restarted the program, checked the command - and it happened again. I replaced the parts of the clip library which I had deleted (most of it - because almost all I write is in Norsk, not English) - and it happened again.

Is this systematic? Can you reproduce this?

If this is systematic, please do the following:

a) Please use the “Tools | Options > Save Settings to File…” button to save your current Atlantis settings to file, then send a generated Atlantis.ini to betatesting@rssol.com
b) Please zip your customized Clip Library (the “Clip Library” folder from the home folder of your Atlantis), and send it to betatesting@rssol.com
c) Please provide us with any other additional information which is required in order to reproduce those error messages (for example, which text should be typed in the document; whether the Clip Library panel should be displaying, etc).

Thanks.
