Return Address

Post by Guest »

Is there a way to remove the return address in the envelopes. At the moment I have to highlight the address with the curser and press delete on keyboard. I have tried to highlight the address with ctrl+a but nothing happens. If we have many envelopes to send with many return addresses it makes slow work. Thanks.

The Envelopes dialog includes the "Omit" box. If you check it, no Return Address will be printed.

Hi!
I am assuming 3 things:
1) You want to remove return addresses from envelopes already attached to documents.
2) Your return address is the same on all envelopes.
3) You have several envelopes attached to each document.
Note that you will have to remove return addresses from envelopes one document after another.

Here is how to proceed with one document:

1) Let's assume that your return address is as follows:

Tracy T Johnson
202N 1620 W
West Point Utah 84015

2) Copy, then paste your return address into a new Atlantis document.

3) Replace any paragraph end mark inside the return address with "^p".

4) You should get an unbroken string like this one:

Tracy T Johnson^p202N 1620 W^pWest Point Utah 84015

5) Copy this string to the Windows clipboard (CTRL+C).

6) Open any document where return addresses should be removed.

7) Press CTRL+H.

8) In the "Find" entry field, paste the address string as it just got copied to the Windows clipboard (CTRL+V).

9) Leave the "Replace with" entry field completely empty.

10) Click on the "Replace All" button in the "Find/Replace" dialog.

All the return addresses should now be removed (actually replaced with nothing).

You can then open any other similar document, and reproduce steps 7) to 10) above to remove return addresses in each newly-open document.

Cheers,
Robert
