I just stumbled upon Atlantis.
I've used Scripsit, FinalWord, WordMate and used Word Perfect from 1983 til 2002. In the middle of that (1999) I used Word for a year.
I changed business and didn't need Word Perfect any longer and started looking for a light word processor. ABIWord was buggy and quirky to set up. OpenOffice is too large -- and I have no need for anything other than a text editor. Microsoft Word is a curse on humanity. Notepad and Wordpad are irritants.
Then I find Atlantis. Unbelievably intuitive. The controls are easy to use. Defaults are easy to set.
Is this too good to be true? I guess I'll find out over the month long trial.
Holy cow! How did I miss this product?

Simply looking at the competition as you did, the Atlantis Team started on this project because they believed that there was plenty of opportunity for a more intuitive word processor.
User-friendliness is central to the development of Atlantis.
If you should ever have problems with Atlantis, do not hesitate, post a question on the Forum or send a query to support@rssol.com. You will get an answer within 72 hours at the very most.
Keep using Atlantis. You'll never look back!
Cheers,
Robert

I'm going to buy it I am sure, after a few days. I can't find any bugs!
How you did such a good program with such a small footprint is beyond me. Well, I'm not a coder anyhow, so . . . .
Well, thanks for the program. I'm in awe of the elegance of the layout/controls. Everytime I think I've stumbled on a WordPerfect substitute, I can't get things to work right -- dafaults for instance, can be very hard to set.
And, yes, I will ask for help. This is one I want to learn. I used to be in a position to proselyte for a word processor but am not in that same realm any longer. I have told my online buddies about this one, however.
